half hearted disappointment

I was happy that the FA Cup semi final was at a time of convenience to watch yesterday. But at the end of the match, I just wanted to punch someone so hard. It was utterly disappointing to see the rotation, the lack of cohesiveness and the general disinterest in the way United approached this game. Once losing the plot so early in the second half, United further went on to tire all the key players needed for the next two games.

A 3 goal deficit in an FA cup semi I believe has been unheard of, but the quality in defence and midfield was so piss poor, it was not surprising. United just does not have a quality squad depth to compete in many fronts. Had they been genuinely interested in fighting for a place, they would have put their first line team, got to a winning position and then rested the players.
